I have a question about NAudio.

I'm trying to speed up a WAVE file while it is playing, but i dont know how...

I want to have three buttons:

Play (1x Speed)

PlayFast (2x speed)

PlayFaster (3x speed)

Can anyone help me please?

No ideas? Or is it to hard to explain?

I tried to change the samplerate, but with no success... :(

It's not that easy to do unfortunately. I have done it before with a codec (not open source). One issue you face is that speeding up audio also results in the "chipmunk effect", so pitch shifting is also required. If you look at the Skype Voice Changer project, you will see how to do pitch shifting, but speed-up is not supported.

At the moment, i am working with MCI command strings at the mpegvideo device. I can change the playback speed with one command. But i need a better sound API, because i have to reverse a wave file too. And MCI doesn't support this action.

But it seems that NAudio is as hard as waveOut its self for such things... :(

Any ideas for a better API choice? I need to speed up, reverse, play and record a wave file.

Thanks so far,
