Can background wav and current input mix and output together real-time?

Mark, it looks like you have done a great job exposing audio functionality to the .NET community. Almost everything else I have seen is C++ or uses DirectX.

I'm new to audio and trying to figure out how to connect inputs, adding a background wave for example to the current mic input and playing them together in real-time.

Would I use midiConnect somehow or mix into a stream then output that?

Can one of you more experienced folks provide me some guidance on how I might use NAudio to accomplish this?

For playing back audio that is being recorded, you need a BufferedWaveProvider. You are not likely to get particularly low latency though. For mixing things, there is WaveMixerStream32. I am hoping to make a mixer for WaveProviders soon too.
