Audio File as Mic Input

Hi,

Is there any way using NAudio I can send (play) an audio from a file as input for a mic?

Thanks

I'm not quite sure what you mean? NAudio can take microphone or file as an input, and send to speakers or file as an output?

The scenario is

I am on a communicator call and I want to play a voice which I already recorded as an mp3 should be played through mic so that the user on the other end can hear it.

Here I can completely automate the cal using Lync API. record the call using N Audio , But to record  I should first send something through mic , :) right?

That's what am trying to do.

Thanks.

you can't fake microphone input into a third party app with NAudio unfortunately. You would need a virtual device driver. Alternatively, perhaps the communicator API might let you send an audio file?

Hi Mark,

Can you advice any feasible virtual drivers?

I tried one Virtual Audio Cable but I cannot find it usefull.

Thanks
