Saving data sent over USB.

Apr 12, 2010 at 5:44 PM

I have a device that can hook up to a USB port.

This device will send audio data over the connection.

What I want to do is:

1) Catch that stream

2) Save it to a .WAV file

Saving it to a .WAV file is the easy part. I'm trying to figure out how to select a USB port with Naudio, but I haven't had any luck yet. I've only been able to address the audio card of my machine, but I need to get it from the USB port. Is this possible with Naudio, or will I need an external library to handle USB connections?

hi WebDevHobo,

NAudio does not have any low-level USB access, so unless its a USB soundcard, you will need to find another library

I did a bit of looking up, and found this library.

http://sourceforge.net/projects/libusbdotnet/

I'll be checking how well I can make the 2 libraries work toghether.
